About Paul

 

Paul H. Bentinck is a former graduate and post graduate of Sussex University. While in a long and highly distinguished career in education he also trained as an actor and singer, studying under Jenny Leworthy FNEA, LGSM (chief examiner) for the Guildhall and New Era (ANEA) in performance acting including interim stages. He also trained with Counterpoint Arts to become a highly accomplished singer with considerable performance experience. Paul also studied dance drama in his earlier years.

 

In 2009 after performing successfully in musicals, operetta, recitals, choirs and stage dramas; Paul trained for two years at the Academy of Creative Training, Brighton’s professional drama school and achieved distinction in his final graduation examinations to become an Associate of Trinity College London in professional acting.

 

Paul is a member of Equity and regularly attends The Actors Centre in London where he continues to develop his skills in both stage and screen acting. He also continues to train as a singer with Counterpoint Arts.

 

Paul directed and produced two highly successful musicals at The Under Ground Theatre in Eastbourne and performed in acting, singing and dancing roles. As a highly experienced teacher he runs acting workshops. As well as stage, he has appeared in short films, audio recordings, radio and voice over work. His highly resonant rich speaking and singing voice is clearly evident. (Listen to sound bites and show reel) Furthermore, his passion for physical theatre is encouraged by regular fitness training.  

 

In 2016, having undergone orthopaedic surgery, Paul is now studying for a fellowship in Performance Acting (MA) with Trinity College London. This involves acting theory and practical performance. Recently, Paul performed at the Ralli Hall, East Sussex, tap dancing and singing in Ginger's Dance Show.
